Animals

 

The animal world is the most stimulating to the imagination and the most wondrous. It can be vicious and cruel, or wonderfully arrayed for love. Consider the moth, the bat, the raging tiger, the huge ponderous rhino, or the fantastic array of fish species. I have tried to create sculptures, drawings, or prints from many of these creatures. Sometimes I represent these literally, as they appear in the natural world, and sometimes transform them into a mythical being, combining parts of different animals into one creature.
